Happy 2 Years Modi Government
A completion of the 2 years of the much hyped Modi
Government that is the flag bearer of the Acche Din Campaign has achieved a lot
in a short time frame and has slapped shut opponents who are busy in keeping
themselves pre-occupied by sitting idle or by checking each others memes on the
internet but the well hyped modi government is more interested in the concept
of FDI and economic growth rather than crucial indiactors like disaster
management and sustainable development. The National Management Disaster Authority
of India is a much hyped organization so much so that when you say their
abbreviation one is greeted with, What is that? and weirder face expressions.
The similar expressions are those of the officials of the NMDA when they hear
about the disaster. Most NMDA officials are like “we only supplement the
state’s efforts” like thank you so much for that too. If asked about the
efficient working most of them are like “Jo upar se paisa aata hai woh aur
kaamon ke liye utilize ho jaate hai
(national disaster response fund is utilized for other purposes than for
those as stated in the GOI guidelines). *slow claps for that excuse*. It’s surprising to know that India lacks a
national disaster mitigation fund, the fire departments aren’t under the NMDA
and what is needed is the states must supplement NMDA’s work and not the other
way round. The Home secretary or the NMDA secretary must attain moral
responsibility and face the dark situation like an adult and paying visits to
disaster hit area is not at all necessary like c’mon those people are in need
of help and not in any mood to cater to VIP tourism.
In times like these a
tweet fetches more results and a higher degree of response than the cry of a
man in need. Like imagine one of the ministers of the cabinet attempts swimming
but fails miserably. Should he tweet from beneath the water #HomeMinister urgent help needed I am drowning. Sympathies
with the drowning minister.
Talking about sustainable development India ranks 110
out of 143, Phew just 33 short. Our respectable PM at the UN said “Nations have
a national responsibility for sustainable development, They also need policy
space.” Mr. Prime minister you are not in a bad relationship with the country because
of which you need space. You are the head of the state. Imposing wouldn’t help
but execution of the imposed would do just fine.
The Rain water harvesting
mandatory clause is only effective in some states. We Indians are attracted by
the idea of someone paying us money for a work which requires no efforts and doing a thing such as a yearly or monthly incentive to
the house which does rain water harvesting with flexible support and
distribution of knowledge is a double thumbs up.
"UP government planted 5 crore
saplings in a day."
Seems as if a child who was once deprived of candies gets
his mouth filled with the entire candy store.
According to UN reports a
country needs 33% forest cover to meet its demands but India has only 21%
approx which too is diminishing at a great rate thanks to no check being kept
on mining and quarrying and several other excavations being led. We have
flunked our deadlines of proper checks being imposed what is needed is the
problems must be dealt with an iron hand.
Imagine anyone suffering from a life
threatening disease, he would be panic stricken to the core that he might even
be willing to die in the waiting queues outside a doctor who MAY treat him. A
similar panic or tension is needed to get the ball rolling.
